German Studies is an established academic discipline in Russia today. German Studies programmes not only aim to teach students language skills, but also to investigate the history and the current status of the German language with respect to its semantic stratification, lexical basis, and genre-based and stylistic differentiation.

Russian Association of German Studies

The Russian Association of German Studies (RGV) is an independent organisation of Russian university instructors devoted to the study of German literature, culture, language and translation studies. On this website, you can gain an overview of the materials and publications which were published in cooperation with the RGV as well as announcements of new releases.
